Peace in His Presence
Although I am detecting the need for hiatus more frequently than I did when I first started On Fire Fit in 2014, I am finding it is because God is always taking me deeper.
Jesus regularly went to the mountain (retreat) and spent time with God one on one and then went out and did His mission.
If we are to model our lives after Christ, then I recognize the need for the mountain and then the return to the mission. It all works together well!
Unfortunately, our society and its hustle mentality says that when you take your foot off the pedal, you will lose success in some way...
However, there is Peace in His Presence that I’m learning. Taking the time to Pause is refreshing, revealing and rejuvenating.
It is also in this place where the so-called dangerous prayer can highlight things:
“God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares. See if there is any path of pain I’m walking on, and lead me back to your glorious, everlasting ways— the path that brings me back to you.” Psalms 139:23-24 TPT Moving forward, there will be perhaps more retreats built into what I do. I’m happy to say that I’m learning the phrase “Obey God and leave the consequences to Him.” Blessings
