Yes, Pray that Way!

Good morning!

Sometimes I get myself confused by different messages.

Wait on the Lord. Step out of the boat.

Pray this way. Pray that way.

Rest. Work Hard.

What am I supposed to do? All of it!

However, it seems whenever I get confused listening to different podcasts or messages that different preachers teach, I can always rely on what Jesus did and said to lead me to the anchor I need.

I was feeling like that this morning. I had read in one book about one approach and another book about a different approach to a situation. It left me more lost. Then I read in Matthew about what Jesus did and said when He was facing the upcoming betrayal.

Three times He prayed to God the Father to remove the cup....yet not His will but God's will be done.

"Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." Luke 22:42

Jesus kept praying and yet He trusted God's plan.

That is how I feel with situations like my jaw or for people who have their own issues they are going through. Ultimately, all the prayers that I say are right. They all fit under the umbrella of communicating with God and that's what He wants. I don't have to say everything just right so that He will hear and I don't have to know what He will choose. I just trust.

All of those things I mentioned earlier are right. Through prayer we learn to keep in step with the Spirit so we know whether to wait or step out, whether to rest or work hard. Praying this way or that way? Yes. Both. All of it!

If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Galatians 5:25
