God's Heart

Good morning!

Does it blow your mind that God wants to pour out His heart to you?

In my mind it just seems like God could do without me just fine. How amazing to know that He wants to pour out His heart!!

Do you imagine what it would look like to have God pour out His heart to you?

My friend and I brought our kids to a conference on Friday night.

The speaker Shawn Bolz is all about sharing God’s heart with people. 90% of what Shawn talks about is how we hear from God and prayer, but he has this gift of knowing things about strangers that shows them that God is intimately connected to them.

He could capitalize on his gift but he doesn’t want the attention. He wants people to go after God for themselves and not look to Shawn for God to speak to them. His humble attitude is beautiful and keeps the focus where it needs to be: off of him and onto God.

The real clincher for me, though, was that my friend’s teenage son reflected on the conference and feels a burden for the kids in his school. He knows most of them are lost. He feels that sense that they need to know God’s heart.

Just when we think this world is going to hell in a handbasket, there is always a remnant of people that are raised up to share the heart of God!

“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:3-4.
