Spread it out Before the Lord

Oh my word.

I finished reading a part of Isaiah and I jumped off the couch to come write this. It just struck me and got me all fired up!

Without getting into all the details, let me give you the take-home point and then explain:

The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this. Isaiah 37: 32b

You may be in a situation that seems hopeless. You might feel like all the odds are against you. That's fine and dandy that we feel that way at times, but it doesn't matter one little bit because if the Lord gets involved, all bets are off!

Hezekiah was facing an impossible situation. He was also being taunted by a powerful force, the king of Assyria. It looked pretty hopeless for God's people and Hezekiah.

What did Hezekiah do about it?

He went and "spread it out before the Lord."

He prayed and then he waited.

God then declared a word against the king of Assyria and said

"Long ago I ordained it.

In days of old I planned it;

now I have brought it to pass." Isaiah 37:26

During the night, the angel of the Lord went and put to death 185,000 of the enemy singlehandedly!

Here is the word for you today:

The Lord has plans for you. Those plans were ordained long ago. He will choose when to bring them to pass.

Even if the situation looks impossible, He can do something that you never would have imagined.

What you, or I should say 'we', need to do is SPREAD IT OUT BEFORE THE LORD.
