Mind Blown QD (Daily!:)

During the night on Saturday, I had reached over to my sleeping husband and bopped him in the face. He faithfully wears a CPAP but at times it gets ajar and makes noise. In my semi conscious state, I reach over to see if he’s wearing it but inadvertently smack him in the face. And that isn’t the first time ... yikes! Poor guy!

That night he said “could you just tell me instead of bopping me?”

Here is where I think it’s interesting. My immediate reaction, albeit semi-consciously, was to be offended and a little angry.

Right away I heard in my spirit “do not give the devil a foothold.”

I realized that if I allowed that offense to brew, I would knowingly be allowing the enemy to create a wedge that was never intended. It would have all come from my thoughts and not based on reality. (Side note- even when things ARE intended to be offensive, it doesn’t mean we should allow those thoughts to gain a foothold!)

I quickly asked for forgiveness for being dumb about the offense and my spirit was easy as I fell back to sleep.

We sat in church and wouldn’t you know it, the lesson was from Ephesians and was then used in the sermon:

“and do not give the devil a foothold.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:27‬ ‭

Coincidence? I think not :)

I’ve realized that it takes practice to examine our thoughts. We have to be so deep in the Word that anything that doesn’t jive quickly bristles our spirit and can be cast out just as quickly so there is no opportunity given to the enemy!

Know who you are in Christ - more than a conqueror and that you have the ability to renew your mind daily by the power of His Spirit that lives in you!!

“Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭TPT‬‬
