New Diet?

Fired Up!

It is exciting to start on a new diet plan. Through the years, we get excited at the thought of a new way to start feeling better, losing weight and reaching our goals. The thought that “this might be what I’ve been waiting for” lurks in all the minds of those who quickly pay for the next plan, book or pill. The excitement wears off when either the plan doesn’t work or it’s harder than we thought. Somehow the initial excitement vanishes and we are back to where we started.

Maybe you’ve thought….

-I just need more willpower

-I am just weak. I have too many weaknesses in the area of food.

-If I found the right plan, I’d lose weight and stick with it.

I am here to tell you that none of that is true. There is a different solution but it’s right in front of you. I don’t have a magic pill to give you and I won’t tell you it is easy, but it will bring you life and health and your body will get to its correct weight.

Do you know the solution? It is Wisdom.

Oh, man. That does not sound exciting or inspiring, does it?

What if I told you that it is the only thing that will finally help you reach your goals and get healthier?

The Wisdom that I’m talking about, though, is not just KNOWING what to do but it is actually having the POWER to do it.

The reason I cannot leave faith out of my coaching groups is that I just don’t believe we on our own have what it takes. Oh, yes, there are plenty of people who get extremely fit by following strict diets.

Abs of Steel, 6 pack Abs and svelte bodies happen all the time without faith in God. However, I will say with all confidence that it is an empty pursuit if it leaves out God. True happiness is not found in a perfect body, it is found in Him alone and growing in our mind and soul AT THE SAME TIME as our body.

“My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words, Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life” Proverbs 4:20-23

Through my next group, Fired Up!, we will not only talk about healthy eating, clearing out the junk that just fogs up our brains, doing something physical to strengthen our bodies….but we will talk about how to use Wisdom and Power that God gives us and has set before us.

I make no promises that it will be easy. I will not give you a pill to shed the weight. But, I do promise that if you give your heart to God and ask Him to help you, you will make progress and you will build health into your entire body.

Here's to your good health!
