Needy?

Good Morning!

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

Needs.It seems sometimes that I am so needy.Mark and I were talking yesterday about some things we’d like to do for the house, items that would make life a little easier but I am always pretty quick to ask myself if I really need it.

When I think of other needs, though, such as health needs or emotional needs or strength needs, energy needs, focus needs, patience needs…..you get the picture?Man, am I needy! Haha!

Then I read a verse like that and see that God does supply EVERY need.He doesn’t overlook ANY of our needs.

I stopped in the middle of writing this to look at the verses that led up to Philippians 4:19.Paul talked about how he had first set out to spread the gospel he had needs and the Philippians were the only ones to meet the needs in the beginning.Paul learned to be content in ANY circumstances.This is where his famous quote “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength” comes from.

God knows our every need and He supplies them.It may come in a different form than what we expect, but He knows and He provides.

My ongoing quest for myself is to ask Him to supply what I need in everything.Sometimes He will put a thought in my head to go research something that I hadn’t thought of to help my health, other times He sends me the perfect email from a friend who gives me what I need at that moment.It would be a shame to gloss over what He supplies waiting for what I think I need.When I let Him decide what will be the answer, then I am abundantly supplied!

I pray that for you too.Whatever your needs are for today, this week, this month, that you will go to God and let Him supply it….and then recognize it and give Him the glory!
