Morning Glory

Good Morning!

I have been seeking direction on very specific aspects of On Fire and asking God for help. He is not a God of confusion and so I know He guides. Sometimes we have to use wisdom and godly counsel to help, sometimes He just gives peace, and sometimes we see it in Scriptures. Sometimes we have to wait and sometimes we know right now.

I had asked for something in Scripture that would just give me what I needed for today. Then I said to Him, well I know I shouldn’t expect You to just give me a verse whenever I need it. I knew right away what popped in my head was from Him, You can ask anything in My name. It delights Me that you seek Me.

When I flipped my Bible from the book of Acts which I had been studying to the random spot I hoped would provide what I needed for today, here is what I got and the parts I underlined off the 2 pages:

Psalm 143: 8-10 Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go, for to You I lift up my soul. Rescue me from my enemies, O Lord, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do Your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

Psalm 141:8 But my eyes are fixed on You, O Sovereign Lord; in You, I take refuge—do not give me over to death.

I love how that just gives peace in a moment. His Word is better than any pep talk anyone could ever give. He is worthy of trust.

As I went to write this message, I lost my place in my Bible and had to do some paging through to find the references. Along the way, I found dates about things from the past. Those will be the fuel for the message tomorrow!
